Armenian Cathedral in Lviv and Its Creators - A Documentary Enhanced With Animation

Image
Armenian Cathedral in Lviv and Its Creators The Armenian Cathedral in Lviv is one of the most important cultural heritage landmarks in this part of Europe — a place where centuries of history, tradition, and artistic expression meet. When the pandemic limited travel and museum visits, the Museum of Cultural Dialogue in Kielce decided to bring the story of this remarkable cathedral directly to the audience in an accessible form. At that moment, I was entrusted with creating the documentary accompanying the exhibition. I handled both the editing and the addition of animated elements that highlight key parts of the narrative and bring dynamic flow to the film. A Journey Through Centuries of Armenian Heritage The film takes viewers on a vivid journey through the history of the Armenian Cathedral — its architecture, transformations, and cultural significance. Expert commentary by Dr. Michał Wiśniewski from the International Cultural Center in Kraków guides the audience throug...

What’s Next? Creative Editing and Animation for the Museum of Cultural Dialogue

Image
What’s Next? Creative Video Editing and Animation for the Museum of Cultural Dialogue When the Museum of Cultural Dialogue in Kielce approached me once again with a new creative challenge, I knew this project would be something special. Their Museum Action, built around the question “What’s next?”, aimed to capture authentic reflections on the uncertain future — and my task was to bring these stories to life through editing and animation. My Role and Responsibilities For this project, I received raw video material documenting the event. My work included: • complete video editing, • designing animated elements, • creating the animated event title, • developing smooth transitions and 3D compositions. My goal was to craft a cohesive and engaging narrative that not only documented the event but also enhanced its message through motion design. Documenting Reflections on the Future The final film g...

Ecce 3 – The Face of the Earth | DFF Slavangard XIV Edition | Kraków 2020

Image
“Ecce 3” is my original animation created for the XIV Edition of the DFF Slavangard 2020 in Kraków, inspired by the theme “The Face of the Earth.” The film takes viewers on a symbolic journey through the story of creation - from the birth of the Earth and the emergence of humanity to reflections on our place in the unfolding history of the world.  A central element of the animation is the vision of the New Earth - a powerful symbol of renewal, hope, and spiritual transformation. This perspective adds a deeper layer to the narrative, encouraging viewers to look beyond the past and consider the future of creation.  Reaching the finals of the XIV Slavangard Edition was an incredible honor and confirmed that the symbolic and visual language of “Ecce 3” resonates with audiences. I invite you to discover the film and explore this journey through the faces of the old and the New Earth.

Why I Didn’t Show God in This Animation - and Why He Is Still There

Image
Some decisions in animation are technical. Others are moral. This one belonged to a third category: spiritual. While working on a Christian animation project, I encountered a question that appears rarely, but always at the worst possible moment: should God be shown? From a technical perspective, everything is possible. From a symbolic one — even more. But the longer I sketched the scenes, the clearer it became that every attempt to “show” God was taking something essential away from the project. Because animation does not always need to explain. Sometimes its role is to leave space. So I chose absence. I chose space. I chose a kind of motion that guides the eye, but does not close meaning. Something unexpected happened: viewers spoke about presence. Not about imagery. Not about symbols. About presence. This animation taught me something no motion design course ever did: not everything that matter...

Ecce 2 - A Visual Reflection on the Power of Taste

Image
“Ecce 2” is my personal visual reflection created for the 13th DFF Slavangard, shaped around this year’s theme: “The Power of Taste.” While working on the piece, I turned to imagery that has long fascinated me - the prophetic visions found in the Book of Ezekiel and the Book of Revelation.  Both texts contain a striking, symbolic motif: the eaten book or scroll. It is an act that goes far beyond reading. The word becomes something physical - an experience with a taste that stays within the person and sets transformation in motion. Sweet and bitter at once. A taste that demands response.  In my project, I try to capture that moment when a human being doesn’t merely encounter a message but lets it enter, allowing it to become part of the inner self. In this sense, taste is not simple pleasure - it is a force capable of shifting, stirring, and guiding, often toward unexpected places.  “Ecce 2” is my attempt to portray this tension between word and experience, vision and it...

Advent Candle Animation for Modlitwa w Drodze - Subtle Motion Design for Christian Media

Image
Another example of motion design created for Christian initiatives is a simple yet highly effective animation I prepared for Modlitwa w Drodze . As part of the project, my task was to animate the candle flames in the provided graphic to give it a subtle and vivid character. The gentle flicker of the flames and the calm rhythm of the animation perfectly complement the atmosphere of Advent, creating a space that encourages focus, silence, and contemplation. This form of visualization helps viewers engage more deeply and remain with the Gospel reflections shared during this season. Motion design in spiritual communication doesn’t need to be complex — often it is simplicity and subtlety that make the message more accessible, engaging, and effective in the digital space. Thanks to such projects, Christian initiatives can reach a wider audience while preserving their unique character and atmosphere.

Ecce - An Animated Reflection on Human Nature

Image
“Ecce” is my original animated project created for the 12th edition of the Slavangard Festival in 2018, whose theme was “Behold the Man.” This concept became the foundation for a visual exploration of human nature - its fragility, inclination toward sin, and the longing for redemption.  The film emerged as an attempt to translate these ideas into a symbolic and experimental visual language. Ecce went on to win the main award in the Animated/Experimental Film category at Slavangard 2018.  The project was also officially selected for the competition of the International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima 2018 in Kraków, a recognition that highlights the relevance of its artistic form and thematic depth.
