How the NERI Films Logo Was Created: Symbolism, Mission, and the Power of Visual Identity

What stands behind the name NERI Films? More than just a film studio, it is a mission that blends faith, passion, and artistic expression. When designing the NERI Films logo, the goal was to reflect both the spiritual roots and the future vision of the studio-modern, dynamic, and fueled by a fire that never goes out.

NERI Films - More Than a Name

NERI Films draws inspiration from Saint Philip Neri - the patron of joy, humor, and deep spirituality. These values shape the studio’s approach to creating uplifting Catholic films. But the name “NERI” holds an even deeper meaning. It is an acronym of the Latin phrase:

Non Ego Requiescat Ignis - “I will not let the fire rest.”

This motto became the foundation of the entire brand identity.

Designing the Logo: Capturing the Mission Through Art
Creating the NERI Films logo was a creative process focused on expressing both artistic quality and spiritual purpose. The central motif became fire - a symbol of unceasing passion, creative energy, and the desire to spread meaningful values through film. The logo had to be not only modern and professional but also storytelling - communicating a flame that never fades, faith that inspires, and art that moves.

Fire and Heart: The Essence of the Symbol

At the center of the logo is a heart wrapped in flames. This symbol was chosen with intention.

The heart represents love, devotion, and spiritual commitment.
The flames symbolize inspiration, divine presence, and transformation.

In NERI Films, the flame is a metaphor for the creative drive that fuels the creation of films bringing messages of hope, faith, and beauty.

Aesthetics and Message: Classical Influence, Modern Form
In designing the visual identity, the aim was to combine:

- the elegance of classic style,
- the minimalism of contemporary design,
- clarity and strong readability needed for brand recognition.

The color palette was selected to be eye-catching while reflecting professionalism, warmth, and spirituality. The typography—simple, bold, and clean—emphasizes the creative character of the studio.

NERI Films - A Logo That Tells a Story

The final logo is more than a graphic symbol. It is a declaration of mission: to create films that inspire, touch hearts, and convey meaningful values. I am proud to have supported the development of this young and ambitious film studio, which lives its message: “we will not let the fire rest.” I encourage you to follow their productions and support their mission, helping to ignite a flame of faith and art in future generations of viewers.

Behind the Visual Design of the 40th World Youth Day of the Diocese of Kielce

For this year’s 40th World Youth Day of the Diocese of Kielce, held on November 22, 2025 at the Congress Center - Targi Kielce, I had the opportunity to create the background visuals and the intro animation displayed on stage during the event. The starting point for the intro was the official promotional poster designed by Jakub Radek. Using elements from the poster, I developed animated sequences that matched the event’s visual identity and worked well with the stage lighting and overall atmosphere. Seeing the visuals presented live—together with the music, lighting, and the energy of the audience—was a meaningful moment. It’s always satisfying to watch a digital project become part of a real, shared space. I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to the visual side of this celebration.
