1st Prize for the animation "KOLORY" - Paweł Pauksztełło
1st Prize in the "Kielce in Animation" Competition for "KOLORY"
It is with great satisfaction that I announce that my animated film, "KOLORY", has won first place in the debut edition of the national competition "Kielce in Animation." The final gala, held at the Moskwa cinema in Kielce, was the culmination of weeks of work on a pioneering way of presenting my hometown.
The jury, chaired by Zbigniew Żmudzki (Oscar-winning producer of "Peter and the Wolf"), praised the originality of the concept and the visual consistency of the project. Winning among such a prestigious group is an important incentive for me to continue my explorations in the field of moving images.
Artistic Concept: The City in Colors
The "KOLORY" project is an original interpretation of the architecture and symbolism of Kielce. In contrast to traditional documentary forms, I focused on dynamics, color saturation, and the fluidity of transitions. My goal was to bring out the energy of the city by transforming its most characteristic landmarks into vibrant, almost kaleidoscopic compositions.
The film relies on an intense color palette that builds the mood of individual scenes and gives the architecture an almost organic character. It is an attempt to capture the identity of Kielce in a modern way, combining respect for local symbols with the search for contemporary means of expression.
Musical Collaboration
The soundscape of the film is a piece composed by Paweł Łukowiec and performed on the piano by Marek Mizera. Collaborating with such distinguished artists allowed for full synergy between image and sound. Marek Mizera's precise piano performance became the foundation upon which the entire dynamics of the animation's editing was based.
I would like to thank the organizers for creating a space for animation creators and all the people who supported the creation of this project.
